Security and Development

Stewart Patrick heads CGD’s work on security and development, building on our 2004 Commission on Weak States and US National Security, and its publication, On the Brink. That report was the culmination of nine months of work by a bi-partisan panel of thirty former government officials, senior business leaders, academics, and NGO representatives who recognize the threat that weak and failed states pose to US national security, American values and the prospects for global economic growth.
